the Dork-o-meter

For those of you who talk to us on a regular basis know that we aren't the best travelers. Don't get me wrong, we're very good at keeping ourselves entertained, bringing snacks, having good music etc. Our freak accident car troubles, though, keep us close to home most of the time. A while ago, we went to AZ for Jared's farewell. Everything was going smoothly until about halfway back to Page. All of a sudden a huge windstorm picked up and I started freaking out. Cameron, the calm driver told me to get a hold of myself as he skillfully maneuvered the wind gusts. After we left Page, the wind turned into snow and hail. It was March. In the "desert." yeah. whatever. Either way, the snow spurred this lovely number from some tired travelers. I promise, it's worth a watch. It gets really good around :45.

After we gathered our composure, we arrived in Page only to find out that the storm knocked the power out, so we couldn't get any gas. The power was out in the 5 nearest cities too. We were stuck for 2 hours and got back to Provo around 2am. It's a good thing we like each other. Such close quarters require lots of laughing, otherwise you'll go insane! so yeah-we're dorks. :)

Being great problem solvers and making the most of whatever situation you find yourselves in isn't dorky. It's brilliant! That ability will serve well during life's journey.
